What started as a concept passion project has now become a real-world store. Earlier this year, I created a CGI vision for what Bound's future retail space could look like, exploring how the brand might translate into a physical environment. Not long after, I bumped into Bound founder Jake at a Tom Rowley gig in Manchester. What started as a casual conversation quickly turned into an opportunity to help bring the vision to life. Since then, Jake and I have been texting throughout the process, developing a series of CGI visuals that showcase the new store ahead of its launch on Thomas Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter. It's been incredibly rewarding to see the project evolve from an initial concept into a physical space that's now almost ready to open its doors. A special thank you also to my friend and VFX artist Gabriel Trinc, who helped scan the surrounding Thomas Street environment and introduced me to the potential of Gaussian Splatting technology. Being able to capture elements of the real world and blend them with CGI is opening up exciting new possibilities for architectural visualisation, helping create a much stronger connection between digital concepts and physical spaces. Huge thanks to Jake and everyone at Bound, I'm a big fan. Looking forward to seeing the store come to the real world.
